Abstract

The worldwide-distributed well-known piscian helminth parasitic fauna viz., nematodes, trematodes and cestodes were collected from listed sampling stations of Uttar Pradesh, India during 2017-18 to 2018-19. The fieldwork report summarizes the computed recorded data of Incidence, Intensity, Density and Index of infection of helminth parasites from freshwater fishes. In this survey, biostatistical analysis with population dynamics of Caryophyllidae has observed in local freshwater fish species of different regions of the Uttar Pradesh, India. the present study deals with the annual cyclic seasonal survey of helminth parasites with the paratenic host. For this study, the freshwater fishes were collected from different districts and tehsils of Uttar Pradesh state viz., Garhmukteshwar, Anoopshahr, Agra, Etawah, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Banaras, Sultanpur. Out of 400 freshwater fishes, 153 was found infected with helminth parasites in which nematodes, trematodes and cestodes were observed in an annual cycle of seasonal spectrum. During this survey period, a total of four types of piscian parasites identified from different fish species after the microscopic investigation in the laboratory followed by the key standards and measurement of classification. Physical disadvantages checked on the host fish from parasitic infestation during the lab's microscopic and morphometrical investigation. Additional parasites also collected and preserved for further investigation. These parasites species were classified and distributed in different higher taxa viz., Platyhelminthes- Trematoda, Cestoda, Aschelminthes- Nematoda and Acanthocephala. Morphological and morphometrical study of parasites is more helpful to identify different species of piscian parasites with external form. During the present investigation, the Influence of seasons on parasitic infection was recorded within three seasons as Rainy, Winter and Summer. Regarding the parasitic diversity and population dynamics study has been carried out to compare each other. This study highlights the details of the biostatistical configuration and morpho-taxonomical analysis of endoparasitic organisms infecting freshwater fishes along with listed sampling stations of Uttar Pradesh state. The result suggests that assemblages of helminth parasites in freshwater fish are not random collections of locally available species, but rather structured clusters of larval parasites that travel together along common transmission pathways.
