Abstract

Physico-chemical study of the sewage and the soil of sewage irrigated fields of Aligarh have been made and have been compared with those irrigated by tubewell water Micro-and Macronutrients have been found more than permissible limit in sewage. Yield is more in sewage irrigated fields though accumulation of heavy metals make them hazardous. Sewage irrigated plants rot earlier than tubewell irrigated plants.
