Abstract

There are recognized categories of causes for the eleven types of cancer, according to the United States National Cancer Institute. Carcinogenic substances are associated with the environments in which we live, or ones which enter our bodies through ingestion. The objective of the current work is to help inform the general public about their significant role in causing cancer; thus, the importance of eliminating them in avoiding cancer. The positive outcome if this objective is achieved, is that it would lessen the prevailing view in the world that no one can avoid the dreaded disease. The focus of the current work is to view the group of cancers not caused by viruses. There are four types of therapy for cancer. This article lists various suggestions, mostly nutritional, some well-known and others less so, as preventative measures.
