Abstract

A field experiment was carried out for the fall seasons 2019 and 2020, in a field located in Babel Governorate, to study the role of super-hydrophobic polymers and microscopic polymers in the characteristics of the yield and its components under water tension. A split-plot arrangement within a randomized complete block design (RCBD) was used with three replications. The main factor included three levels of tension under the drip irrigation system, which are the depletion of 40, 60 and 80% of the available water and its symbol (S1, S2, S3). The second factor included several combinations between polymers and microscopic that were placed in the sub-plots which symbol as (T1, T2, T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, T8). The results showed that increasing levels of water tension caused a significant decrease in the studied physiological characteristics, as the percentage of nitrogen in the tubers decreased by 25.04%, phosphorus 59.73%, potassium 55.55%, dry matter 59.18%, starch 77.18%, as an average for the two seasons respectively.
