The increasing availability and accessibility of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in China make it possible for computer-assisted language learning (CALL) to be widely used in language teaching and learning, and College English, a required course for most non-English majors studying at tertiary level educational institutions, could take advantage of ICT, particularly CALL, to improve motivation and learning outcomes of students. Based on a review of relevant literature and the authors’ observations of College English classroom in different settings in China, this paper presents reflections on using ICT in College English classroom, with the hope that this piece of work can inspire educators of similar interests in China and other contexts.
