Abstract
A field experiment was carried out at Research Farm, College of Agriculture, Bharuch, NAU, (Gujarat) during kharif 2022 to study the effect of nutrient management on growth, yield and economics of cowpea. The experiment was laid out in RBD with factorial concept with three replications. The result revealed that significantly higher plant height, number of nodules/plant, number of branches/plant, dry matter accumulation, number of pods/plant, number of seeds/pod, length of pod, seed and stover yield and quality were recorded with the soil application of 20-40-00 N-P-S kg/ha. It also gave the higher net return and B:C ratio. Significantly higher plant height, number of nodules/plant, number of branches/plant, dry matter accumulation, number of pods/plant, number of seeds/pod, length of pod, seed and stover yield, quality, net return as well as B:C ratio with a foliar application of 1% enriched banana pseudostem sap (Novel) at branching and flowering stage.
